Random Deathmatch, or RDM, occurs when a player kills, shoots, punches, or attacks another player without a valid in-character reason. All acts of violence must have a proper roleplay justification and context. Engaging in RDM breaks immersion and will result in warnings, kicks, or bans depending on severity and repetition.
Vehicle Deathmatch, or VDM, is when a player uses a vehicle to intentionally harm, ram, or collide with another player without a valid in-character reason. Accidents must be roleplayed realistically, and reckless vehicle usage for no purpose is prohibited. Excessive ramming or intentional collisions will result in disciplinary action.
Fail Roleplay (FRP) occurs when a player acts in a way that breaks immersion or realism. Examples include surviving impossible falls, ignoring injuries, pulling unrealistic stunts, or interfering with a scene you are not part of. FRP disrupts gameplay for others and will be addressed with warnings, kicks, or bans based on severity.
The New Life Rule requires that after your character dies, you must forget all previous events, knowledge, and relationships. Returning to the death scene, seeking revenge, or using information from a past life is strictly forbidden. NLR ensures fairness and realism in roleplay.
Fear Roleplay ensures that your character reacts realistically to threats or dangerous situations. When someone points a weapon at you, you cannot charge, pull a weapon, or act recklessly. Failure to respond appropriately to threats may result in warnings or moderation action.
Cuff rushing occurs when a player restrains another without proper roleplay. Law enforcement must always say “-cuffs-” before handcuffing, and civilians must respond realistically. Improper cuffing, instant arrests, or ignoring roleplay consequences are prohibited.
Meta-gaming is using out-of-character knowledge to influence in-character decisions, while power gaming is forcing unrealistic actions or outcomes on others. Both practices are prohibited, as they undermine fairness and immersion. Violators may face warnings, kicks, or bans.
Major roleplay events, such as bank robberies, hostage situations, kidnappings, and drug scenarios, require staff approval and active priority timers. Starting these events without permission is prohibited and may result in moderation action.
Civilians may form groups of up to 4, while certified mafias may operate in groups of up to 6. Exceeding group limits disrupts roleplay balance and will be enforced by staff.
Safe zones are locations where no hostile or violent actions may occur. These include civilian spawns, police stations, sheriff offices, fire stations, and DOT stations. Safe zones protect players from unexpected attacks and allow for a safe roleplay environment. Gun stores/Hospitals/and other business are not considered safe zones.
Avatars must remain realistic at all times. Oversized accessories, glowing items, animal hybrids, floating objects, or other unnatural appearances are prohibited unless roleplayed correctly. Unrealistic avatars may result in warnings or removal from the server.
All driving must be realistic and follow in-character logic. Excessive speeding, drifting, off-road driving without reason, or reckless maneuvers that endanger others are prohibited. High-speed chases must be properly roleplayed and adhere to traffic laws.
You may not flee minor traffic stops or citations without a valid roleplay reason. Serious crimes, such as robbery or active shooting, may justify a chase. Evading without cause or engaging in unrealistic pursuit tactics is prohibited.
Peace timers prevent criminal activity during specific intervals. Priority timers indicate ongoing major roleplay events. During these periods, no new criminal acts or events may be initiated. Ignoring these timers disrupts roleplay fairness and will result in consequences.
All staff members must be obeyed. Players may not impersonate staff, whitelisted members, or supervisors. Failing to cooperate, arguing, or interfering with staff actions during roleplay will result in immediate disciplinary action.
Roleplay communication must be in English. Out-of-character discussions should only occur in designated channels. Spamming, trolling, or arguing in-character or out-of-character disrupts the server and will be addressed by staff.
Exploiting bugs, glitches, or restricted items for advantage is prohibited. Players must report discovered issues to staff immediately. Unauthorized use of items, vehicles, or weapons may result in warnings, kicks, or bans.
Weapons must be used realistically and within roleplay context. Carrying excessive firearms, pulling weapons from vehicles unrealistically, or using banned items is strictly prohibited. Misuse will result in moderation action.
Players must yield to all emergency vehicles with lights and sirens active. Blocking, brake-checking, or interfering with response efforts is prohibited and may result in warnings, kicks, or bans.
Do not disrupt roleplay scenes you are not participating in. This includes traffic stops, robberies, hostage situations, and chases. Showing up uninvited or trolling ongoing events will result in disciplinary action.
Players must wait 1–5 minutes before respawning, depending on EMS/FD presence. Logging out or leaving to avoid punishment, arrest, or death is prohibited and will be penalized.
Shooting at vehicles in motion is only permitted if the occupants are armed and actively engaging you. Shooting at fleeing vehicles without reason is prohibited and considered a rule violation.
All jobs, including civilian, law enforcement, EMS, FD, and DOT, must be performed realistically. Following proper procedures and traffic laws is required, and reckless or unrealistic job behavior will be moderated.
Trolling, harassment, griefing, or intentionally disrupting gameplay is prohibited. This applies to all in-character and out-of-character interactions. Violators will face disciplinary measures based on severity.
You must use common sense at all times. If something doesn't seem right, it's best not to do it at all.
Staff have final discretion on all rule enforcement during active scenes. Decisions are immediate and must be followed, but players may appeal moderation actions afterward through the proper channels.
To operate any of the following vehicle types, you must be an active booster of our Discord server: Exotic vehicles, Electric vehicles, Corvettes. This rule applies to all teams, not just civilians. If you are not currently boosting, you are not permitted to use these vehicles. If you are unsure how to server boost or would like assistance, please open a support ticket and staff will help you. Failure to follow this rule may result in moderation action.
Respect is required from every member at all times. Treat others with kindness, avoid targeting individuals with insults, and keep swearing to a minimum. Harassment, bullying, or intentionally provoking others will result in moderation action. Everyone deserves a safe and comfortable environment in OSRP.
Graphic, sexual, or hateful content is strictly prohibited in all areas of the server. This includes images, videos, messages, and links. Any member who posts NSFW or disturbing material will be punished immediately. OSRP is intended to remain a safe and clean environment for all ages.
Advertising other servers, links, or brands is not allowed, whether in public channels or private messages. Attempts to bypass this rule—such as hiding links, hinting at servers, or mass-inviting members—will result in strict punishment. All promotional activity must remain outside of OSRP.
Starting or escalating drama is not tolerated within this community. Arguing, insulting other servers, or bringing external conflicts into chat disrupts the experience for everyone. If an issue arises, contact staff instead of engaging publicly. Keep OSRP peaceful and respectful.
Threatening another member in any form is strictly prohibited. Even if intended as a joke, threats can make others uncomfortable and will be taken seriously by staff. OSRP maintains zero tolerance for harmful or intimidating behavior.
